Empowering MSMEs to Start Exporting in 8 Weeks

The India SME Forum (ISF), India’s largest SME organization, has launched the “Start Exporting in Eight Weeks” initiative. This program, announced by Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for the Ministry of MSME at the Business Beyond Borders 2024 Conference, partners with Amazon and others to promote Make in India products. It provides MSMEs with the resources and guidance to expand into global markets within just eight weeks.

The “Start Exporting in Eight Weeks” program is a unique initiative that helps Indian MSMEs gain access to international markets. It offers essential resources, networking opportunities, and expert guidance to ensure a seamless export process, aligning with India’s “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat” goals.

Digital Platforms Revolutionizing Exporting for MSMEs

Mr. Vinod Kumar, President of ISF, emphasized the role of e-commerce in overcoming trade barriers for MSMEs. Through platforms like Amazon, MSMEs can easily connect with global customers, bypassing traditional challenges and boosting exports. The initiative equips MSMEs with the tools to become internationally competitive.

Key Insights from Business Beyond Borders 2024 

At the Business Beyond Borders 2024 Conference, key speakers such as Ms. Dona Ghosh (DGFT) and Mr. Bhupen Wakankar (Amazon India) discussed accelerating e-commerce exports. They emphasized how MSMEs can take advantage of global trade opportunities. Over 300 MSMEs participated in the event to learn about boosting exports and closing the gender gap in global trade.
